FROM THE LEAD DIRECTOR’S DESK
In a world grappling with growing inequalities and social problems of urgent concern, iCASE was conceived with the foresight to alleviate the socio-economic deprivation of indigent and underserved people.
UNICEF estimates that less than 30% of Nigeria’s population of 200 million people have access to improved drinking water sources and sanitation facilities.
In the same vein, UNESCO avers that there are 20 million out-of-school children in Nigeria.
These statistics reveal the inhumane conditions of living for millions of people. Through our work, we have seen and understood the magnitude of the difficulty people in rural and local communities face in accessing indicators of a dignified life such as; good health, quality education, and proper sanitation/hygiene.
Our work over the years has focused on facilitating improved and sustained access to these socio-economic rights in identified communities, because we believe that all life has dignity.
Do you have fervour for a more equitable and inclusive society? Volunteer with us from anywhere in the world and promote our vision!
Joshua Oyebode,
Lead Director,
